CAF executives will meet today in Algiers to decide on how and when the Super Eagles and other African teams will qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be hosted by Canada, Mexico and USA.

Africa will be represented by nine teams at the 2026 World Cup after FIFA expanded the global tournament to 48 teams from 32.

Five teams represented Africa at last year’s World Cup in Qatar with Morocco making history as the first from the continent to reach the semifinals.
