The Super Eagles departed for Libya on Sunday morning to participate in the second leg game against the Mediterranean knights of Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The first leg saw Nigeria triumph by a lone goal.
The team’s chartered flight included a stop in Kano before continuing on to Benghazi.
Initially, the Super Eagles were set to fly to Tripoli and then undertake a two-hour road journey to Benghazi.
The plan was subsequently abandoned to alleviate pressure on the players and officials.
Libya is set to host the Super Eagles at the 10,000-seat stadium in Benina on Tuesday.
The match is scheduled for 8 PM Nigerian time.
