2024 Hajj: 5,000 doctors to serve in 183 health facilities in Mina

The Saudi Ministry of Health has said over 32,000 medical and administrative staff  have been deployed across several health facilities, with more than 5,000 doctors of various specialties.

The Saudi healthcare system announced Thursday its full readiness and commitment to receive and serve pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1445 AH. 

They detailed that hospitals, health centers, and mobile clinics in Mecca, as well as Medina, and various holy sites are utilising integrated preparations and new technologies to provide the best healthcare for pilgrims.

The Saudi Ministry of Health reported that over 32,000 medical and administrative staff have been deployed across several health facilities and centers, including more than 5,000 doctors of various specialties to provide the necessary healthcare and 24/7 response to any emergencies throughout the 183 medical facilities.

These facilities comprise 32 hospitals, 151 health centers, and 6 mobile clinics, all equipped with the latest medical technologies to ensure immediate and effective healthcare delivery.

The capacity of these facilities exceeds 6,400 beds distributed among all hospitals and centers, including intensive care, emergency and isolation beds. 

The ministry further highlighted that along with staff and supplies, the latest healthcare technologies and automated services are being used, including the ongoing operation of the “Seha” virtual hospital and its connected virtual clinics.

This operation aims to provide remote services and medical information to pilgrims using advanced technologies.
