The eagerly anticipated opening match of the Nigeria Premier Football League has seen a slight shift in schedule.
According to the league body, the match initially set for Saturday, the 7th of September, 2024 will now take place on Sunday 8th September across different venues.
This change in the date and time for the encounter is due to the Super Eagles’ 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the visiting Cheetahs of Benin Republic, scheduled for Saturday, 7th September, 2024.
While the eagerly anticipated opening match between Lobi Stars versus Akwa United will hold on Monday September 9th at Lafia Township Stadium, Lafia by 4pm.
