2023: No going back on removal of illegalities – FCTA

FCTA

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Tuesday vowed that there is no going back on sustainability of removal of illegalities both before 2023 election and after the election.

The senior special assistant to FCT minister on Monitoring, Inspection and Enforcement, Ikharo Attah, stated this in Abuja when he led a clean-up exercise to the market and other parts of Dutse.

He said it is unacceptable that people are building shanties and barchers indiscriminately in Abuja.

He said the FCT minister, Malam Muhammad Bello, is committed to ensure the city is clean before, during and after election.

He also said that as long as government is paying salaries and allowances the work must go on.

Attah said, “It is unacceptable that everyone are just building shanties and barchers everywhere and it is really very disheartening and we discovered that the more you work, the more you see illegalities to remove. We are doing our jobs and we keep on doing it.

“I think the major thing we saw is the issue of allegations and counter allegations of people that are involved in irregularities, especially those pertaining to government official accusing them of compromising standards.”
