The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Tiev constituency in Benue state, Sunday stepped down from the contest for 2023 election to support the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) candidate, Ambassador Philip Wuhe.
He stepped down with all the Central Working Committee (CWC) of APGA in the local government area and elected to work for the PRP candidate.
On the 8th Dec. 2022, the central exco of APGA, Vandeikya chapter, had at a meeting at the residence of Hon. Shiishi Emmanuel, presided over by the local government party chairman, Hon. Terfa Agwa, with all the central and ward excos in attendance, took the decision which culminated to the decamping ceremony.
Speaking, the decamped APGA local chairman said his decision became necessary due to the commitment of the PRP candidate to bring development to his people.
He appreciated PRP candidate’s developmental strides in Vandeikya and said amongst all the candidates contesting for the 2023 election in the local government, Wuhe stands very tall in terms of credibility.
“We have today decided to collapse our structures to join forces with the PRP in Vandeikya to support Hon. Wuhe in the forth coming general elections so he will continue with his good works in terms of human and material development in the constituency,” he said.
