2022 W/C qualifiers: We respect all teams in Group L – Chukwueze

Liberia, Cape Verde, and Liberia are well-respected teams on the continent as it is wrong to regard any football team in Africa as minnows, Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has said.

Chukwueze made this assertion in a chat with NFF Media officer, Ayo Olu Ibidapo, who anchored a live Instagram interaction interview. The AFCON 2019 bronze medalist maintained that the Super Eagles respects every team in the group and will take every match like a final.

“There are no more minnows in African football. So I can say we respect these teams and we cannot underrate them but that does not mean we fear them. We will be very ready when we eventually meet them. We know how teams see Nigeria, so we will not take it easy when the time comes,” he stated.

The Villarreal CF of Spain wing wizard, however, calmed frayed nerves about the chances of the Super Eagles, while pointing out that the team will qualify for the tournament
