Twenty suspects have been arrested for allegedly hacking and altering the 2025 UTME results, according to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The arrests followed a coordinated investigation by cybercrime units and security agencies.

JAMB said it detected irregularities in its result processing system, which led to the discovery of tampered scores linked to compromised registration centres and third-party agents.

The board has invalidated all affected results and assured the public of the exam’s integrity.

The suspects remain in custody and will be prosecuted after investigations.

JAMB also warned candidates and parents against exam fraud and reaffirmed its commitment to a secure and transparent UTME process.
