137 APC aspirants jostle for 25 Assembly tickets in Adamawa

No fewer than 137 aspirants are battling for the 25 House of Assembly tickets under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa.
The Adamawa state Organizing Secretary of the party, Alhaji Ahmed Lawan, made this known on Friday in Yola.
Ahmed said out of the number, 11 were females, adding that Michika and Madagali local government areas of the state have the highest numbers of aspirants of 11 each.
Ahmed said that screening of aspirants was expected to commence today, Friday, in Yola, stating that:”We are expecting officials from Abuja to arrive today (Friday) for the screening”.
Also speaking, the state’s Secretary of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abdullahi Prambe, said a total of 84 aspirants had bought forms for the house of assembly ticket under the party.
“We have reopened the sales of form as directed by the party and so far 84 aspirants that initially bought the forms had been screened.
We have about five women and one disabled person among the aspirants,” Prambe said.
On his part, the state’s Chairman of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mr John Muva, said 49 aspirants including nine women had purchased forms for state house of assembly
