Over 100 farmers in Olamaboro local government area of Kogi state  have benefited from a one-day  training in modern farming techniques  to boost their food production.

The programme which was  held at Okpo in Olamaboro LGA on Saturday  was sponsored by Hon. James Abiodun Faleke a member of House of representative and anchored by Gridcrow limited in collaboration with National Directorate of Employment (NDE).

Declaring the training programme open, the representative of the facilitator, Hon. Bashir Ella, said the programme was brought for the farmers to  exposed them to the use of modern equipment that can  boost their food production.

While speaking on the administration of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the chieftain of All Progressive Congress in Kogi State , said though Nigerians  are passing through hardship in the country due to the inability of the previous administration to lay down a strong foundation for businesses  to thrive.

He stated that president Tinubu has come to change the trend for better through the introduction of policies an programmes  that will benefit the people  and reposition the economy of the country.

He said “There is no gain in denying the fact that there is hardship in Nigeria. This hardship was due to lack of  concrete foundation the previous administrations could not laid down for the country.

“President Tinubu came to change the trend for better by introducing policies that will give rise to a solid foundation for the country. Federal government in the past lost several billions of naira in paying fuel subsidies that does not benefit the citizens.

“Today the removal of fuel subsidy  has brought more money and the monthly allocation has increased tremendously. Civil servants now collect their full salary as at when due while many projects that have direct impact on the lives of citizens are going on in many states especially Kogi State”

Hon. Ella therefore appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the present administration of President Bola Tinubu and support his laudable policies and programmes aimed at ending the suffering of the people.

He advised parents to take the advantage of the student loan  to train their children and wards in tertiary institutions, saying it was a relief brought by the president to assist parents.

He thank Hon. James Abiodun Faleke for not abandoning Prince Abubakar Audu’s political structure in Olamaboro local government area and indeed Kogi state.
