The Mass Movement for New Nigeria (MM4NN) has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his well deserved re-election by Nigerians.
The association commended the people for their commitment towards the continuity of the good work the president and his team did in the past three and half years.
Speaking to journalists after its emergency meeting in Kaduna to review the last election on Friday, the state coordinator of the association, Alhaji Sulaiman Arugungu said now that the ruling party has the control of the 9th National Assembly, it has become necessary for voters to vote in all the APC governorship candidates in all states of the federation for the smooth running of the administration.
He said the association has also endorsed the Governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai for second term in office to allow him continue with the development of the state.
The retired Deputy Comptroller General of Prisons, expressed happiness at the peaceful turnout of voters during the presidential election and urged them to do same on Saturday’s governorship election.
However, he said the association, based on the reports from its zonal officers was bemused by the action of party officials who allegedly short-changed party agents in some areas of Kaduna state.
Alhaji Arugungu said the association discovered that some government appointees in Kaduna state failed to make any impact because of their dishonesty, adding that the Kaduna state government should look into the allegations before the next Saturday election.
He asked the zonal officers of MM4NN to go back to their respective zones and strategize for the re-election of Governor el-Rufai.
