The Zamfara National and State House of Assembly Tribunal Thursday ordered counsel in a suit challenging the declaration of Senator Lawali Hassan of the PDP representing Zamfara West senatorial zone, to file all processes before July 20.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that suit with no: EPT/ZM/SE/40/2019, was filed by Sani Aliyu and the Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) against Hassan, the PDP and INEC.
Justice, Ajoke Adepoju, who leads the three-man penal, gave the order after counsel for the PDP, Mr Adedamole Famokun, and the petitioner’s counsel, Victor Ogbonna, informed the tribunal that they had not filed nor served each side with the processes.
Justice Adepoju, adjourned the matter until July 20 for hearing, after the third respondent for INEC raised no objections.
The tribunal had June 26 granted an exparte for substituted service of all court processes Hassan and the PDP.
