Zamfara: Rep Shinkafi presents scholarship to 3, 600 indigent students  

The member representing Shinkafi/Zurmi federal constituency of Zamfara state at the House of Representatives, Hon. Bello Hassan Shinkafi, has secured scholarships to 3, 600 indigent students in his constituency.

Speaking to journalists in Gusau, Tuesday, Hon. Shinkafi stated that the benefited students were carefully screened and currently studying in universities, colleges of education and polytechnics in the North-west of Nigeria.

According to him, over 5,000 students applied for the scholarship scheme through his constituency office for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Hon. Shinkafi further stated that over 2,000 primary school teachers received capacity building training for them to enhance their skills under his constituency education development support. 

Shinkafi noted that he built an ICT center at Zurmi College of Health Science and Technology to boost the health education system in his constituency, noting that the ICT center would be fully equipped with computers and accessories.

He further said over 600 youths received computer skills with some financial logistics for them to be computer literate and self employed in his constituency and called on constituents to remain law abiding citizens and support his representation in the lower chamber of the National Assembly to enable him provide more dividends of democracy for them.
