Zamfara NGO raises N21m to create jobs

Over N21 million was raised at the formal launching at the Imma Community Health Circle Initiative (IHCI), Zamfara, aimed at sustainable job creation in the state.
Speaking during the occasion, the Executive Director of the NGO, Zainab Abdulaziz Yari said Help Centre conceived the effort as a means of facilitating critical intervention with a view to solving the challenges associated with the needy and vulnerable group in the society.
She said the programme will focus on the area of education, agriculture and healthcare services for those who are critically in need of support and empowerment.
Zainab further explained that the programme is related with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) cardinal objectives, stressing that the intervention programme will cover all aspects of SDGs.
She explained that the Help Centre will be a facility for the propagation of improved variety of Islamic secondary schools, vocational training centres, agro research centres, innovation and entrepreneurship, international conference centres and health facilities among othersres.
Governor Abdulaziz Yari who was represented at the occasion by the Secretary to the state Government, Prof Abdullahi Muhammad Shinkafi, described Himma community health circle initiative as welcome development as it will salvage the less privileged people from economic hardship being faced.
He said his administration will give the unflinching support toward the actualisation of its mission and vision in the state.
