YSFON mourns death of Allah Dey

Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria has expressed sadness over the death of it’s National Vice President  North Central Zone, Hon. Mustapha Abdulkareem Allah dey whose death occurred Wednesday morning.

A statement from the National Secretariat of the body signed by it’s scribe, Patrick Okpavuerhe,described the late Allah dey as a colleague, friend and brother whose death came as a rude shock.


The statement noted that Hon. Allah dey, a retired FIFA badged referee and one time state House of Assembly member until his death was a thorough bred grassroots sports developer, mobilizer  and dedicated YSFON officer whose absence will be highly missed 

YSFON while praying that Almighty Allah grant his soul eternal rest prayed that God will grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.


Speaking on his death, YSFON National President, Dr Nasiru Yusuf  Gawuna described him as a  trusted friend who will be greatly missed by the Federation, positing that the vacuum created by his sudden death will be very difficult to fill.


” All of us at YSFON are very sad over his death. This was a man who gave all his time and resources to the development of grassroots football in the country. We’re really going to miss him but all we can ask is for Almighty Allah to  grant him Aljanat Fridaous.

Allah dey before his death,  was a thorough grassroots sports mobilizer and  a former Kogi Local Government YSFON Chairman under the old Kwara State, a former State Chairman of Kogi State YSFON and  incumbent National Vice President of YSFON till his death.

He has since been buried according to Islamic rites while details of his Friday prayers will be announced as received from the family.
