Youth restiveness, cause of insecurity in Nigeria – Commissioner

Kogi state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Prince Sani Ogu Salisu, has described youth restiveness as one of the major causes of insecurity in Nigeria.
Prince Salisu stated this in an interview with journalists in Gombe yesterday, saying a lot of Nigerian youths don’t have what to do or even have a sense of belonging.
“The major agenda or focus of our government if we form the national leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria is to first make the youth believe in there selves.”
Prince Salisu revealed that, Kogi state government had organized various programmes that discourage youth restiveness in the state.
The commissioner said the state government has taken sensitization to various local government areas on the need for the youth to shun political thuggery as the 2019 general election approaches.
