There was jubilation in Yobe state as workers began receiving the payment of the N70,000 minimum wage as promised by Governor Mai Mala Buni .
The workers started receiving their December salary alerts on Thursday under the new minimum wage structure.
Governor Buni had recently approved the N70,000 minimum wage for the state workers, saying that the payment would take effect from December.
