Yobe Lawmaker promises quality, inclusive representation

The Deputy Speaker of Yobe State House of Assembly and Member
representing Mamudo constituency, Auwal Isa Danchuwa, has reiterated
his determination to carry everybody along for the betterment of his
constituency.

Danchuwa made the pledge while presenting empowerment to members of
his constituency in Danchuwa, Potiskum local government council of the
state.

The lawmaker who is in his 12th year in the state assembly described his stay so far as a wonderful experience, and that he has achieved a lot as result of the support given to him by the constituency.

Presenting cash to the beneficiaries, the lawmaker said that 350 people were chosen to benefit from the gesture which he promised to continue.

“In this empowerment, each undergraduate and HND student will receive
N20,000, Diploma and NCE students  N15,000 each while widows, elderly
and youth will go home with N10,000 each respectively.”

Danchuwa further said he has embarked on lobbying for projects to his
electorates which include construction of the Potiskum-Danchuwa road
which has been completed, ongoing Danchuwa-Garin Bingel road.

“When I came on board I met only few boreholes but now we can boast of dozens of functional boreholes in our constituency,” he said.

Other empowerment include purchase of JAMB forms for those willing to
further their education, empowerment of petty traders to boost their economy.

He further disclosed that very soon people living with eye problems would
enjoy free eye treatment in the nearest future.
