Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni has signed the 2025 appropriation bill of N320,796,000,00 billion into law.
The 2025 budget, titled budget of “Economic Consolidation and Poverty Reduction”, was presented to the governor by the Yobe State House of Assembly Speaker on Monday at the WAWA Hall, government house, Damaturu.
During the signing of the 2025 appropriation bill, Governor Buni said government would hasten the completion of all ongoing projects, initiate new one and ensure timely completion of all in fulfilment of the compaign promises.
Buni stated that it is gratifying that in less than two months, the bills have been passed by the House of Assembly.
He commended the Speaker Yobe state House of Assembly, Rt. Chiroma Buba Mashio, all the members and the staff of the Assembly for their dedication, hard work, cooperation and commitment to service.
He explained that the Assembly have demonstrated a strong commitment to serve the people, placing the state’s interests first, and above thier personal comfort to ensure timely passage of these bills into law.
“I am aware of the slight adjustment made by the assembly on the budget size with a decrease of N15 Million. I’m sure the adjustment is done to make the proposals more realistic, and in reflection to the prevailing economic realities,” he said.
Governor Buni reassured the good people of the state that his administration is committed to judicious use and investment of the state resources into people-oriented programmes and projects, especially in education, healthcare delivery, agriculture, infrastructural development, wealth creation, and empowerment to stimulate economic growth.
