Yobe: Buni appoints Muhammadu Ibn Grema as new Emir of Tikau 

Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema as the new Emir of Tikau. 

This is contained in a statement signed by Secretary to the Yobe State Government, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali.

According to the statement, the new emir of Tikau’s appointment was based on the unanimous recommendations of the king makers of the Tikau Emirate Council.

Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu lbn Grema is the eldest son of his late father, Alh. Dr. Muhammadu Abubakar lbn Grema, the late Emir of Tikau.

Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema has a Bachelor of Agric Economics and Extension from the Bayero University Kano, M.sc Agric Economics (Applied Econometrics, Development and Resource Economic) and a PhD in Rural Development in view. 

He has worked in various capacities in Yobe State University and until his appointment Principal Manager, Yobe State University Farm.

He has attended various courses which include training on Environmental impact Assessment, Ecosystem International Limited, Lagos Nigeria and Health and Safety Training/induction, University of Reading Safety Unit, Berkshrine, United Kingdom.
