Yobe approves N3.3bn for capital projects

In order to continue with its laudable programmes, especially the massive construction of roads, the Yobe state Executive Council at its meeting presided over by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu, has approved more funds for construction of roads, perimeter fencing and purchase of asphalt. A statement issued yesterday by the SEC indicated that the sum of N1,585,134,581.15 was approved for the construction of 16km double coat surface dressed road from Garin Alkali to Gwio-kura in Bursari local government area. “Also, the sum of N1, 471,609,092.19 was released for the construction of 15km double coat surface dressed for Zobo-Siminti road in Fika local government. “Others are purchase of Asphalt Paver Finisher at the cost of N125, 000,000.00 while the construction of perimeter fencing and gate house at Government College, Nguru; a distance of 4000 meters got the sum of N137, 478,461.51,” the statement read in part.
