Yobe: APC Youth pledge 99% votes for Buhari, Gaidam, Maimala

All Progressives Congress (APC) Youths in Yobe state have pledged to deliver
99% per cent votes to President Muhammad Buhari, Ibrahim
Gaidam for Senate and Mai Mala Buni as governor of Yobe state.

This was disclosed on Sunday by the APC Youth
leader Yusuf Goni (Kaka), in Damaturu while giving hints on the level of their preparedness towards the 2019 elections.

“This time around we want to deliver 99 per cent votes to President
Buhari having recorded 92% votes in 2015.  These votes include
Governor Ibrahim Gaidam who is contesting for Senate and the APC
National Secretary Mai Mala Buni that is vying for the number one seat
in Yobe”, he said.

On the unclaimed Permanent Voters Cards, the youth leader said they
have mobilized themselves to registration centres and ward levels by
sensitizing households on the importance of the PVCs.

Kaka, further, said without the collection of the PVCs, Nigerians
cannot elect patriotic leaders that will move the Nation forward.

He further urged the youths to conduct themselves peacefully during
and after the elections because they are the future leaders.

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Yobe state had
last week reported that, out of the 338,933 PVCs received only 199,551
have been collected leaving 139,377 unclaimed, that was why they have
taken them to ward levels.

Blueprint learnt, two out of the three Senators, five out of the six
Members House of Representatives, the governor, the twenty four
Members of the State House of Assembly and the Chairmen of the
seventeen local government are all members of the APC in Yobe.
