Yobe ACReSAL emerges top performer on oversight

Yobe State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project has received recognition for its exceptional monitoring and evaluation (M&E) practices, emerging as the 1st runner-up in this area.

The certificate of achievement was presented to its during a one-day stakeholder engagement with ACReSAL authorizing ministries held at the Abuja Continental Hotel.

The ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including Ministers of Environment, Water Resources & Sanitation, and Agriculture and Food Security, as well as the World Bank Operations Manager, TTL, Co-TTLs, and NPC.

The award was received by the Yobe State Commissioner of Environment, Hon Sidi Yakubu Karasuwa, alongside the Permanent Secretaries from the ministries of Environment and Water Resources, and the Yobe State ACReSAL Project Coordinator, Shehu Alhaji Mohammed.

In his remarks the Yobe ACReSAL PC, Shehu Mohammed commended the effort of Governor Mala Buni for all the supports he consistently renders to the project.

The event also brought together Commissioners of Environment, Agriculture, and Water Resources, as well as Head PFMUs, representatives of the project line federal MDAs, and State Project Coordinators from the 19 northern states, in addition to Abuja.
