Yauri monarch charges title holders to use position for growth  

The Emir of Yauri, Kebbi state, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi, has tasked holders of traditional titles to use their positions to influence growth and development of the society.

The monarch gave the advice at his palace Sunday while turbaning some title holders from the area.

“The position of traditional institutions is sacrosanct, employ your position to bring development to your people, assist them accordingly.

“Those turbaned were appointed on merit, the titles bestowed on you are esteemed honour to serve your localities,” the emir said.

Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu expressed appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris, who was the special guest of honour on the occasion, for providing the palace with N50 million to procure modern Royal Boat for the emir for his marine official engagements.

Those turbaned were the Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Tanko Yusuf Sununu as ‘Danmadamin Yauri’ and former Senator, Kebbi South, Sen. Bala Ibn Na-Aallah, as ‘Bauran Yauri.’

The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda and member, House of Representatives from Kano state, Alhaji Ado Doguwa, attended the ceremony.
