Zamfara state governor, Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, has appealed to two roads construction companies, Triacta and Dantata and Sawoe, handling Gusau bypass dual carriage way and Kaura-Namoda-Birninmagaji – Dauran road to ensure quality work, based on contractual agreement and specification.
The governor who made the call yesterday when he visited the two sites of the projects, also charged the state ministries of works, and town planning saddled with the responsibilities of ensuring quality works, to do everything possible to ensure standard in the delivery of the contracts.
Yari challenged the officials of the two ministries overseeing the projects, particularly the engineers responsible for supervising the technical aspects of the project, to put the fear of Allah in ensuring qualitative job.
The governor said, already, the construction company handling the Gusau eastern bypass projects (Triacta) has been given 50 per cent mobilisation funds, while urging the company to ensure that the project is completed within six months, as stimulated in the contract agreement.
While in Birninmagaji, governor Yari also tasked Dantata and Sawoe to complete the work by December as scheduled.
