World title fight: Joshua storms Saudi Arabia for Ruiz

With two weeks to go, Nigerian and British Heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua has arrived Saudi Arabia ahead of the much-anticipated rematch with Mexican heavyweight Andy Ruiz Jr. 

The fight is scheduled to hold on Saturday, December 7, in the country’s capital Riyadh with the IBF, WBC, and WBO belts on the line. 

Joshua was received by fans at the airport and the 31-year-old shared a video of himself arriving in Saudi Arabia on his Instagram, captioning the short clip: “Rollin’ through arrivals.

The Nigerian-born British heavyweight boxer also shared a photo of himself, laden down with luggage, fist-bumping a passer-by, accompanied by the message: “Landed safely

He wasted no time in checking out the gym and looking around the arena which is still under construction the December 7 fight . 

Joshua was stunned last June, losing all three belts to Ruiz in his first fight in the United States via a seventh-round knockout. 

And the former champion activated his rematch clause in a bid to reclaim his titles and possibly look ahead for a potential fight between the winner of Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury in 2020.
