Yobe state Television staff have been called upon to work towards effective information dissemination to prepare the ground for the 2019 general elections. General Manager of the Corporation, Musa Galadima, gave the charge while swearing in the new executive members of Nigerian Union of Journalists, YTV chapel at the weekend.
Galadima further called on the staff to rededicate themselves to duty and support the management staff , saying he had received 100 per cent cooperation from the past leaders of the union and enjoined the new exco to follow the same track.
Secretary of the state council of union, Comrade Rajab Mohammed, called on the new exco to be on their toes by ensuring that journalists in the chapel report news with objectivity.
In his remarks, the newly elected chairman of the YTV chapel, Comrade Maidugu Ali Geidam, said the leadership of the union would carry everybody along to ensure the smooth running of the union activities. Geidam called on the management of YTV to take training seriously, especially now that the digitisation process has become the norm.
