Women’s Day: LAPO seeks positive impact for women

 

The Lift Above Poverty Organisation (LAPO) has called on women to always create positive impact in the society in order to drive gender parity.
Regional officer of the organisation, Mr. Basil Ogbuagu, made this known in Nyanya, Abuja Municipal Area Council during the celebration of this year’s International Women’s Day.
He said men should always encourage women to enable them realise their potentials for the purpose of helping the society.
In her paper at the occasion, Mrs. Eboh Blessing said it was time for the Nigerian woman to come out strong to press forward for gender parity, motivate, unite friends, colleagues and communities to think, act and be gender inclusive.
Blessing described the Nigerian women as creative, talented, happy people, brave, entrepreneurial, agents of harmony, drivers of progress and indispensable helpmates.
Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of certificates to some women and men that graduated from LAPO micro business training.
