First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has expressed satisfaction with the level of women mobilisation at all levels in Kogi state which was made possible by the wife of the governor, Hajiya Halima Ladi Wada.
She stated this when Kogi women, led by the wife of the governor, paid a solidarity and thank-you visit to her at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.                             Mrs Jonathan described the visit as “a sign of encouragement” to continue to do more, “a sign of love for the family and the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan by the people of Kogi state.”
She advised the women to sustain their positions as peace maker and bridge builder as security of life and properties remain sacrosanct.
She said her office would remain determined to do more through exploration of their potentials and capabilities, while thanking them for the support extended to her husband’s administration.
Earlier, Hajiya Wada commended Mrs Jonathan for her resolve to place women amongst the comity of men through the 35 per cent affirmative action, saying that the visit was part of the general clamour for the re-election of President Jonathan by the women and entire people of Kogi state.                                                  She used the occasion to solicit for more federal presence in Kogi and the extension of the First Lady’s magnanimity to the state.
