A 35-year-old woman  is currently cooling off in an Edo state police command cell after she reportedly set blaze her former husband.
Blueprint  gathered that the woman, identified as Esohe Ogbewi,  had two children for Mr. Peter Osayi before the duo  went their separate ways over an undisclosed dispute.
It could not be immediately ascertained if the duo had the kids outside wedlock.
Some family members of the deceased disclosed that the woman  had invited  Mr. Osayi for a settlement, an invitation he promptly obliged.

According to the deceased’s relatives, “It was at the point of settlement that the suspect  poured petrol on our brother  and lit a match.
“We rushed him to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), but he died few days later.”
A  brother to the deceased, who gave his name as Moses, called on the government to ensure that justice is given.
“My brother told me before his death not to allow the girl escape.”
Esohe was  subsequently arrested and transferred to the homicide department of the state police headquarters in Benin City, the state capital.
The state police imagemaker, DSP Uwoh Noble, confirmed the incident, adding, “Investigations were still on”.
