Why we suspended APC state chairman in Zamfara, ward exco petitions Ganduje 

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Galadima ward executive has revealed why the state chairman, Hon. Tukur Danfulani was suspended.

In a letter submitted to the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, signed by 16 out of the 27 ward executives, listed lack of paying attention to party activities at the ward level, causing disunity among party members across all level in the state, misplacement of duties and responsibilities, politics of segregation between party members among others as reasons for the state chairman’s suspension.

The APC National Vice Chairman, North West, APC Chairman, Gusau local Government, Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State, Director State Security Service, Zamfara State and State Commandant NSCDC Zamfara State, were also copied.

The letter, which was signed by Alhaji Garba Bello, Vice Chairman, Galadima ward, Gusau local Government, Zamfara State and presented to newsmen by the Youth Leader, Abahuraira Ilyasu, reads, “the executive members of the All Progressive Congress, APC Galadima Ward of Gusau Local Government Area, Zamfara State wish to inform you that after due consultation with stakeholders and series of meetings, we have concluded to suspend the State Party Chairman Hon. Tukur Danfulani.”

The letter, which was titled “suspension of Hon. Tukur Danfulani further reads, “Hon. Tukur Danfulani hails from Galadima Ward and has been registered as party member for years.

“The reasons behind his suspension include; lack of paying attention to party activities at the ward level, causing disunity among party members across all level in the state, misplacement of duties and responsibilities, politics of segregation between party members among numerous issues.

“In view of this, sixteen out of twenty seven Ward Executives have signed for the suspension and that remains our stand.

“We are therefore, calling on the APC National Headquarter to send caretaker Chairman who will lead the affairs of party before the next convention.”
