Why I sponsored bill on skills acquisition, entrepreneurship – Nwosu

The lawmaker representing Oguta state constituency in the Imo state House of Assembly, Hon. Gilbert Nwosu, has  stated  the need  for youth to acquire skills that would make them independent.

He said it was this believe that led him to sponsor a bill on skills acquisition and entrepreneurship in primary and secondary schools.

He  is of the view  that if the youth start acquiring skills  from primary and secondary schools, they will start developing interest in these areas and become independent.

“Anybody that acquires skills at that level could help parents in the funding of his education and other things. The reason we chose to bring this to the school environment is to ensure they  develop interest  at that level. On graduation, they could become carpentry or furniture makers or welders and become wealthy.’’

Hon Nwosu said his bill would help combat youth restiveness and pipeline vandalisation in oil-producing communities. He praised government on its effort in this regard.
