The federal government has assured Nigerians of its readiness to explore all options, including deploying soldiers and other security measures on the highways towards addressing the growing spate of cases of security challenges in the country.
Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo gave the assurance during a condolence visit to the chairman of Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Chief Reuben Fasoranti in Akure over the killing of his daughter, Funke Olakunri by suspected gunmen along Kajola axis of Lagos- Benin Expressway.
Prof. Osinbajo, while commiserating with the nonagenarian assured Nigerians that the federal government is working towards a workable overhaul of the nation’s security architecture.
The vice president stated that president Muhammadu Buhari has met with security chiefs towards re-strategising at waging war against security breaches across the country.
