We need investors’ support – Innovator

An innovator, Dr. Agada Sunday, the CEO of IKANI PP MERV & GIS Engineering, Dr Agada Sunday Ojonimi, has urged investors to recognise the efforts of indigenous inventors in order to appreciate made-in-Nigeria goods.

Ojonimi made the call at a news briefing during the grand finale of the 2020 Expo on Friday in Abuja.

He said further that the patronage had been so poor, adding that since the Expo began no investor had shown up apart from the government.

He told the Minister of State, Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, who was represented by his special assistant, Barrister Abdullahi Abdulhadi, Ojinimi said he exhibited two Innovations – “the IKANI electronic voting machine and the Project and Programmes Monitoring Evaluation Reporting and Verification with Geographical Information System (IKANI PP MERV & GIS) for capital projects, FEC- approved projects, zonal intervention and constituency projects. Thus, create an avenue for work to be down with ease and not congesting oneself to travel down to the sites, especially in this period of insurgency.”

In his response, the minister commended him for his efforts to put an end to unemployment and also wipe out corruption from the society via his invention.
