Wamakko, Sokoto government donate N16.6m, food, 8 Hilux to rescued victims, police

Former governor of Sokoto state, senator representing Sokoto North, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has donated N 10 million cash to the 66 abducted victims rescued by the joint security operation under Operation Hadarin Daji

Speaking while presenting the cash and food items donated by Sokoto state government, Senator Wamakko explained that each victim should take home N 200,000 cash.

Senator Wamakko also donated 8 operational Hilux vans to the 8 divisional offices of the Nigeria Police Force under his senatorial district.

Wamakko said the gesture was part of his effort to assist the government and security operatives in the fight against banditry and other criminal activities.

He commended the security operatives in the state on their untiring effort to curb acts of banditry in the state and assured them of support.

On the gesture by the state government, the senator lauded Governor  Ahmed Aliyu for the rapid response on issues affecting the citizenry, describing his administration as a responsive government with human face.

He said that with giant stride recorded within a short period of time it’s clear testimony to the fact that the APC family in the state had made right choice during the state APC primary election congress by choosing Ahmed Aliyu as its flag bearer in 2022.

 “If you have good intention, don’t fear anything,  make up your mind. We stood our ground and invoked Allah for his assistance, support and guidance to come up with right choice.

“Here I must say that with what we are seeing now, we have been vindicated, people of Sokoto have seen the difference. 

” People are happy with the current administration because their yearnings and aspirations are being taken care of and dividends of democracy are going their way”, Wamakko stated.
