An appeal has been made to President Bola Tinubu to consider ensioners in the N35,000 salary increase across board as for the serving civil servants in the country.
The appeal was made in a press statement by a retired Local Government Director Alhaji Sani Bawa Dutsin-ma.
Alhaji Dutsin-ma revealed that the pensioners in the country in general and particularly in Katsina state are the most vulnerable in the country
The retired director said even the palliatives distributed recently for civil servants to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal were not given to pensioners.
He urged government and labour unions to sympathise over the plight of pensioners whose association is itself is also vulnerable.
