Vetter nails second-longest javelin throw ever

Germany’s Johannes Vetter produced the second longest javelin throw in history with a 94.44m eff ort in Lucerne . Th e world record of 98.48m was set by Czech legend Jan Zelezny in 1996. Th e 24-year-old Vetter’s performance bettered his compatriot and Olympic champion Th omas Roehler’s mark of 93.90m in Doha in May.
