VC University of Abuja to students: You must register with CAC before graduating  

The vice chancellor of the universityof Abuja, Professor Adul-Rasheed Na’allah, has  said it is now a law in the university that no student will graduate without having a company registration with Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC). 

He stated this  Thursday at a press conference during  the university of Abuja academic programmes of 28th convocation coming up Saturday 17th February, 2024.

He said some of the students are graduating and some are 300 level with opportunities to practice with the company they have registered.

He said: “One thing we say to ourselves is that, we are giving them certificate to go and look for employment, we are charging you to go and employ yourself.”

Professor Na’allah added that the  goal of the university is to make sure that students succeed at the end of the day.

He said there are some programmes introduced including starting Railway Engineering, Aeronautics, Tourism and Hospitality Management.

He also stated that the university will launch anti-sexual harassment in the institution to enhance discipline in the campus.

He said the 28th convocation this  year, Saturday 17th  2024, the total graduands for the convocation is 9,172, while the total  number of first class graduands is 7896, number of first class degree is 41, second class upper degrees 1,845, second class lower 4,842, third class degrees 1,075, total number of second class pass degree 50, and Un-classified (MBBS) 43.

The VC who said his tenure will be expiring this year, promised to make the university of Abuja one of the best in the world.
