Oyo state Police on Thursday said the death toll in the Ibadan Children Funfair Stampede is now 35 with six others critically injured.
The state Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Adewale Osifeso made this known in a live radio interview monitored by Blueprint.
SP Adewale Osifeso said seven suspects including the Principal Organiser of the Funfair are now in Police custody.
“I can say categorically now that 35 deaths has been recorded with six others critically injured”, he said.
The PPRO stressed that investigations are still on going on the matter.
