God will not accept the thanksgivings of those who profess to know Jesus but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient (to the Truth) and unto every good work reprobate Titus. 1:16. Any sacrifice of thanksgiving, offered before the altar of God, by lukewarm Christians, who are neither hot nor cold, is unacceptable in the sight of God because as earlier said, it is an abomination in the sight of God. These lukewarm Christians are those who often compromise their faith.
They are neither here nor there; these are nominal Christians who serve two masters – the god of secret society or the god of riches and the God who created heaven and earth and all things therein Matthew 6:24. It is not possible to serve two masters; you either hate one and love the other, or despise one and esteem the other. It is unacceptable to God, to have one leg in the secret society and the other leg in the church. Such people worship Jesus with their lips, but their hearts are far away from Jesus. They are hypocrites in the church. Some of them receive double ordination – chieftaincy titles from their traditional kings, as well as titles of elders or deacons given to them by the so – called general overseers of some churches. Can these two ordinations be married together? In II Corinthians 6: 14 – 18, Jesus is asking these lukewarm Christians: “What fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols” (chieftaincy titles) what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial?”
Jesus, rather than accept the sacrifice of thanksgiving of these lukewarm Christians, which of course are abominations before Him, He says He will spue them out of His mouth as written in Revelation 3:15 -16 and I quote “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth”. Some of these lukewarm Christians are very rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing. And that is why they are quickly ordained by the general overseers of some churches, because of their riches. Jesus Christ is saying to these lukewarm Christians that they are poor, wretched, miserable, blind and spiritually naked as written in Revelation 3:17 and I quote “Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked”. Some pastors and bishops even allow heathens to defile the sanctuary of God, by allowing them to offer sacrifices of thanksgivings to God, for receiving a national merit award or for being made a Justice of Peace (JP) or even for winning an election. All these are vanities, abominable and unacceptable thanksgivings before God. These rich lukewarm Christians are advised by Jesus as written in Revelation 3:18 and I quote “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see”, In this passage Jesus Christ is advising them to buy the truth from Him, because the Truth is the only true riches that will bring them out of falsehood and self-deceit. It is only the truth that will cover their spiritual nakedness. It is only the truth that will open their eyes to those ways which seem right unto them, but before God those ways are wrong ways that will lead them to spiritual death as written in Proverbs 14:12 and I quote “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
We must also know that no sacrifice of thanksgiving offered before the altar of God by harlot Christians or by harlots in the spirit, is acceptable to God. The harlots in- the- spirit are the witches, the wizards, those with familiar spirits or with the spirit of divination or with water spirits, in the church. These are strangers amongst genuine children of God in the household of God. Harlot Christians/harlot churches are Christians or churches, that commit whoredom with the world and its system, or that commit whoredom with doctrines of the devil or that give attention to seducing spirits from the Mother of Harlots, which seduce people to do or practice things that are unbiblical.
Thanksgivings by such churches or by such individual Christians, are abominations in the sight of God.
Therefore the sacrifices of thanksgivings that give joy to God and to the whole of heaven, are sacrifices offered by those who have repented of their sins and with sanctified hearts. Sin in man is a spiritual leprosy, worse than the dreaded and infectious disease of physical leprosy. Just as lepers are “outcasts” in the society, so also sinners, who have not been born again of the word of Truth, are ‘outcasts’ in the sight of God. Jesus Christ not only accepted but even demanded the thanksgivings of the ten lepers that were cleansed by Him as written in Luke 17:12-18. Before they were cleansed, they could not come near to Jesus; they were afar off crying for mercy, and they actually obtained mercy. It was after they had been cleansed of their leprosy, that one of them, who appreciated the work of grace upon his life, came to the feet of Jesus to give Him thanks, which Jesus gladly accepted. And so, for any thanksgiving to be acceptable to God, we must first of all be cleansed of spiritual leprosy – the sin in our lives – by being born again of water and of the Spirit. Repentance from sin is what gives heaven joy, and that is the thanksgiving that is most acceptable to God. Luke 15:18 – 24; Luke 15:7a “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth”.
