Two passengers flung off into Lagoon in Lagos accident – NEMA

The National Emergency  Management Authority (NEMA), Wednesday, confirmed that two passengers have been flung off into the Lagos Lagoon as a  result of crash involving an LT 18 seater bus with  registration number FKJ 872 YA that occurred by Adeniyi Adele axis inward Lagos Island in Lagos state.

The South-west coordinator, NEMA,  Ibrahim Farinloye, in a statement  said a fatal crash involving a LT 18 seater  registration number FKJ 872 YA occurred by Adeniyi Adele axis inward Lagos Island  area of Lagos state.

He added that the accident happened at about 1100 hours when the vehicle on a very high speed swerved off the road and hit bridge rails and caused the 2 passengers to be flung off into the lagoon.

“The victims, an adult male and a female are being searched for  by the Marine Police.

Meanwhile, the crashed vehicle has been towed to Adeniji- Adele police station under Lagos state police command and the injured have been evacuated to hospital.
