Turaki visits Imo, assures on restructuring

A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP), Taminu Turaki, has promised people of Imo state that he would embark on restructuring if he emerges president in 2019.

Turaki, who came to the state PDP secretariat in company of a former governor of Adamawa state, Boni Haruna, Kebbi state PDP chairman, Haruna Saidu and other personalities, said he would embark on things that would unite Nigerians and bring about peace.

Among things being canvassed by the presidential hopeful include, creation of additional state for the South east, devolution of powers, true federalism, and security of lives and property.

He said the party may have made mistakes during its rule but that it was in a better position to correct those mistakes and move the country forward, adding that the party will be resolute in orderto reclaim its stolen mandate.

Turaki disclosed that he had visited other presidential aspirants in the party and that they all resolved to support whoever picks the presidential ticket at the end of the electioneering.
