Tummy Tummy noodles partners schools on character formation

Kotec Industries, producers of Tummy Tummy instant Noodles is set to partner secondary schools and colleges in Imo state on character formation.
The first phase of the programme, hosted at Federal Government Girls College Owerri, attracted schools from Owerri zone, which included   Government Secondary School Owerri, Ikenegbu Girls Secondary School Owerri, Girls Secondary School, Imo Girls College and Owerri City School.
During his introductory remarks on the occasion, the Moderator, Mr. Jerry Nwoko, a lecturer at the Imo State University Owerri, disclosed that the programme was capable of bringing out the best of individual students and stressed that for them to achieve the desired results, they must be themselves.

He also described Tummy-Tummy as “noodles with a difference as it places emphasis on character formation, whose principles must be captured at young age from where they would be nurtured to maturity”.
In her welcome address, the principal, Federal Girls College Owerri, Mrs. Ulu Nnennaya, represented by vice-principal (Special Duties), Mrs. Augustina Buzugbe, expressed appreciations to the company for choosing their premises for the zonal event.

She added that noodles had become a household name in the menu of many Nigerian families.
The director of the school, seized the opportunity afforded by the Character Formation programme to advice students to shun examination malpractices, cultism and other vices common among students,
Imo state Commissioner of Police,Taiwo Federick Lakanu, represented by ASP  Nnacheta Chukwudi, advised students to be security conscious in and around their environment.

The territorial manager of Kotec Industries, Mr Obinna Uwazuru, also informed the gathering that the noodles producers had been partnering schools , homes, churches and other organisations on character formation and stressed that if character was lost, all in life would be lost.
The participating students made the occasion more colourful with their drama presentations, fashion parade, march past, book presentation, quiz, dance and poetry.
