The Trustfund pension has expressed the fund readiness to continue to partner with the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) under its corporate Social Responsibilty initiative, which is in line with global practices.
The Managing Director/CEO of Trustfund, Mrs. Helen Da-Souza who disclosed this during the presentation of about 5000 reflective jackets to the FRSC, said the company is given back to the society that has added to the success of its business.
“We are committed to touching the world around us and making it safe so that our people can actually live and retire into a quality standard of living”.
Mrs. Da-Souza reiterated that the 5000 reflective jackets is part of a phased partnership programme with Government institutions that impact on the day to day existence of Nigerians.
“We appreciate FRSC for its daily activities in safeguarding the lives of our beloved citizens on our high ways, often times at great risk to life and limb of its officers.
“We hope to enhanced the visibility occasioned by these jackets will help in reducing hazards of the job and keep your officers safe as they work tirelessly to keep our highway safe”.
Responding, the Corp Marshal of FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi commended trustfund for the gesture, adding that it will enhance their duties during patrol at night.
He said his organisation is committed to ensuring accident reduce to the bearest minimum, adding that henceforth, any commercial driver leaving the park must undergo a compulsory test to certify his eligibility to drive on the road.
