Troops repel terrorists in Abadam, kill 15

Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole Task Force Battle Group and Multinational Joint Task Force harbouring in Abadam village have killed 15 Boko Haram terrorists, which attempted to attack the troops location in the area.
According to the Army spokesperson, Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, many of the terrorists escaped with gunshot wounds during the fierce battle.
He said; “ Two soldiers paid the supreme price in action while four others were wounded in action.  The bodies of our late colleagues and the wounded have since been evacuated.
“The gallant troops  recovered weapons and ammunitions from the insurgents. These includes: one Gun truck, one 60mm Mortar tube, seven 60mm Mortar bomb, a General Purpose Machine (GPMG),  three damaged AK 47 Rifle, four Bandoliers of Anti-Aircraft rounds of ammunition.
He said the troops had continued mop up and clearance operations of the remnants of the terrorists.
“They have also intensified vigilance and high level of alertness,” he said.
