Troops of 151 Battalion, 21 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, said they naturalised scores of terrorists during an ambush at their crossing point at Bocost, Ngurosoye-Bama road, in Borno state.
The incident, according to army spokesperson, Brig.-Gen. Sani Usman, occurred in the earlier hours of Sunday.
He said other terrorists sustained gunshot wounds during the operation.
“The troops recovered the following items from the terrorists; 1 AK 47 rifle with the registration number 1029, 1 AK 47 magazine, 60 rounds of 7.62mm Special, three bicycles, four empty jerry cans, a cutlass and the cash sum of N5, 600 only,” he said.
