Troops ambush terrorists, kill 1

Troops of 152 Battalion, 21 Brigade Nigerian Army, ambushed a group of unsuspecting Boko Haram terrorists along Banki-Bula-Yobe road in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
Army spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Sani Usman said in a statement that one of the terrorists was killed during the encounter, which he said happened on Friday, 3rd November 2017.
He said the troops also recovered four bicycles, some mechanical tools, which he said aids the terrorists vehicle movement, clothes and explosive wires from the ambush site.
“Similarly, the troops of 151 Battalion, 21 Brigade Nigerian Army, also ambushed some unsuspecting Boko Haram terrorists who were attempting to cross into the Sambisa forest at about 7:40pm same day, along BOCOST-Bama road. Troops neutralized a large number of them while some of the terrorists escaped with gun shot wounds,” he said.
“The gallant troops rescued a 6 years old boy and recovered several items which includes, 8 Bicycles, blankets, Jerricans, plates, mats, spanners, cutlasses, clothes, and a pair of Boko Haram terrorists Special Forces Uniform. The rescued boy is receiving further at the Brigade’s medical facility.”
