“It is victory for democracy, victory for the rule of law, victory for the APC, victory for majority of Nigerians who voted massively for President Buhari, but most importantly, victory for the truth, which will always be constant.”

“The ruling has also vindicated the position of our party, the APC that the presidential election conducted on February 23, 2019 was transparent, free and credible and that majority of Nigerians preferred President Muhammadu Buhari over and above the candidate of the PDP, and indeed voted massively for the candidate of the their choice”, Wase said in the statement.

According to the deputy speaker, the judgement has further reaffirmed the confidence Nigerians have in the ability of President Buhari to lead this great nation and their decision to re-elect him to take us to the next level.

Wase also congratulated the panel of jurists that sat through the case, describing the verdict as thorough. “I wish to congratulate the learned jurists for delivering a thorough verdict, which will no doubt stand the test of time and strengthen the faith of the common man in the judiciary”, he stated.
