Top NUJ officials, ex-SWAN presidents, 30 states in Portharcourt for 2019 SWAN National triennial congress

Dignitaries and delegates from all the states are already on seat ahead of the National Triennial Delegates Congress of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) scheduled for Port Harcourt, Rivers state. 

Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of Rivers state and Minister of Youth and Dports Development, Mr Sunday Akin Dare are the special guests of honour for the congress, while ex-Nigerian international, Chief Adokiye Amiesimaka (Chief Justice) is the chairman of the occasion. 

The immediate past president of NUJ, Alhaji Abdulwaheed Odusile leads former SWAN presidents, Steve Alabi, Olu Amadasun and Saidu Abubakar, as well as AIPS Africa President, Mitchell Obi to the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex auditorium, Port Harcourt, venue of the event. 

FCT SWAN Chairman, Chidoka Ndubueze and FCT Secretary, Ikenna Okonkwo lead chairmen and secretaries from 28 states and delegates from the remaining states from across the six geopolitical zones to the congress which seek to elect new leaders for SWAN for the next three years. 

Incumbent SWAN President, Honour Sirawoo will be seeking reelection, same as some vice presidents and deputy secretary general, while some of the incumbent officials are seeking election into new positions.
