Anambra state governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has called on other progressive political parties in the country to join hands with the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to move the country forward.
Soludo stated this while welcoming the party chieftains, to APGA’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Friday.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of a member of his party, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, as a Minister of State Foreign Affairs.
He said President Tinubu was living out a true government national unity in the country, adding that the commonness in the name of his party All Progressive Grand Alliance and the All Progressives Congress was not a mere coincidence.
Soludo said APGA was poised to unite with other progressive parties to work for a progressive country, adding that APGA in years to come would continue to grow from strength to strength.
“Our party in years to come, we will continue to grow from strength to strength. APGA is built to last,” he said.
While commending the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Soludo said the Commission under Prof. Yakubu Mahmood had improved the country’s electoral system despite the position of some critics.
Soludo stated that the party’s victory at the Supreme Court was a call for serious work, urging the party chieftains to use the occasion of e-registration to organise the party well.
“There is work to be done. As we go back to our various states, let’s take the national e-registration very seriously. We are leading the way and that’s why we have our own headquarters.
“Let’s get down to organise; our victory is a call to work; it’s a call to action. This is a call for all progressives to unite. APGA is ready to partner with any progressives to unite and work for a progressive country.”
